In this live-action musical comedy, Baby Huey, the lovable seven foot tall duckling, is taken in by a caring little boy named Nick and his kind but surprised family. A sinister scientist and a mean Las Vegas producer want Baby Huey for themselves, but they don't know what a little boy, a caring community, and a baby bird that's bigger than all of them is capable of.
A boy determined to save his father's failing private detective business enlists the help of his pet dog and parrot...who talk. Together they will try to take down the town's tyrannical tycoon who's determined to stop a mansion from being turned into an animal rescue.
Twelve-year-old Tommy reluctantly moves with his father from the big city to a small Lapp village - the childhood home of his mother, who has recently died.
