A doddering old gentleman, out for his morning's constitutional, suffers an attack of epilepsy in front of a saloon in the country town. Pedestrians run to his rescue and the barkeeper of the saloon brings out a good jolt of whiskey to revive the stricken one. A tramp who has noted the accident, has also mentally noted the glass of whiskey, and being thirsty for a drink himself, he turns away, a brilliant scheme revolving in his mind. A few minutes later the tramp in passing another saloon is seen to fall and go into violent contortions. A crowd gathers and the saloonkeeper comes out with the dose of whiskey. "Weary" is delighted, and meeting an old tramp friend of his, puts him wise to the little game.

The old west is certainly dead, but Colorado pack burro racers don't know it yet. Everett Winfield - played by five-time world champion burro racer Curtis Imrie - runs and breeds his own stock. But all is not well at the ranch. When a bank officer refuses him a home loan, Winfield unwisely flaunts the prospects of winning $5000 at an upcoming race as his 'employment record.' Of course it's no dice. As options narrow, his current girlfriend offers to share her homestead. But not one to relinquish his free-range freedoms, Winfield instead becomes involved with a young rodeo queen half his age, to the chagrin of his same-age niece. As morals slip, and the financial noose tightens, Winfield drifts toward setting things right, old-west style.

Raymond is a painter who is very successful in his career. One day, he walks into a saloon and his eyes fall on the beautiful Jennie. She poses for one of his paintings and later runs off with all his money. When they meet again, they fall head over heels in love and get married. She is forced by Apaches to steal from him again, but Jennie refuses. In revenge, they lock her up and go after Raymond themselves. They attack him and lock him up as a living mummy in a sarcophagus. He is eventually rescued and reunited with Jennie, while the Apaches themselves are locked up.

After numerous murders disrupt a small western town, a community is left on edge as the sheriff and deputy work together to catch the culprit.
When Widow Jenkins publishes the news that she has been left a valuable estate and other properties, including a grocery store, all the eligible men of the neighborhood seek to win her hand. The most persistent of her admirers is Alkali Ike, who absolutely refuses to remove himself from her immediate vicinity and guards her so well that none of the other suitors are given a fair opportunity to propose.

Bruce McLeod returns from the goldfields to find that his wife has left home with another man, taking their child. After the death of the mother, the child is adopted by Cherie, a local dancehall girl ostracized by the community. Cullum, a gambler who earlier seduced Mrs. McLeod, drifts into the town, and failing to win Cherie, he swears vengeance. McLeod, seeking the man who wrecked his home, falls in love with Cherie but scorns her when he discovers that she is a dancer. Ultimately, the child identifies Cullum as the gambler who lured Mrs. McLeod from her home. In the ensuing fight, Cullum is shot by a halfbreed, and Bruce is happily united with Cherie.
Wrongfully convicted rancher Jack Bowen (Neal Hart), imprisoned through the machinations of Dick Thompson (William Quinn), escapes from prison just as the warden (Charles Wellesley) is about to pardon him. Caught after rescuing the warden’s daughter, Betty (Barbara Kent) from her runaway carriage, Bowen is released despite the escape attempt and moves to Calgary to compete in the Stampede. Thompson tries to have Bowen killed during the competition but failing that takes Betty as a hostage and flees. Bowen, Betty’s father and others give chase.
Sugar Creek is a low budget film, unlike anything you have ever seen. Part fairy tale/morality tale. Part Horror/ Western. The story of Adam, as he is hunted by a mysterious Horseman through a valley where men do hateful things because they've had hateful things done to them, is the story of revenge and redemption, and the irony in between.
